公安机关将专项严打网络赌博

据新华社电日前，公安部网络安全保卫局副局长顾坚在接受记者采访时表示，当前我国网络赌博呈现出蔓延迅速、涉及面广，境外操控、境内渗透，赌资巨大、危害严重，与其他犯罪相互交织等四个特点，公安机关将加大力度，对网络赌博进行坚决的打击整治
从去年全国公安机关侦破的网络赌博案件看，投注额超过十亿元的案件有近百起
据保守估计，每年我国因为网络赌博流失到境外的资金高达几百亿元
顾坚介绍，为严厉打击网络赌博，公安部、中央宣传部等8部门从2010年2月至8月在全国组织开展集中整治网络赌博违法犯罪活动专项行动
